Pastor’s Pancakes Leads Into Lent
Humanity has created some strange customs and practices over the years. Think about it. Have you ever known someone who is going on a diet tomorrow, so they go out tonight and eat everything they can get their hands on? Why not simply start the diet tonight?

New Orleans has some unusual customs and practices too. For the last several weeks I have witnessed some of those practices. Of course, here in New Orleans we have been celebrating Mardi Gras. I’m sure there is much historical tradition to the parades, the balls, the pageants, the parties, and the symbolic colors that all lead up to the final evening of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday), but I have not done my research so I can’t accurately speak to those traditions.
