Education

The Christian education program at St. John's focuses upon helping our parishioners understand the Bible, its meaning, and bringing that knowledge into focus in a contemporary context. A broad range of constantly changing programs are offered to meet the widely varied needs of our parish ranging from traditional Bible study groups to discussion groups on such topics as Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?

Music

Music is an integral part of the life at St. John's Lutheran Church. Several groups perform throughout the year, including the adult choir, children's choir, handbell choir, and regular guest instrumentalists are invited for special worship services.

Fellowship

The spiritual journey of life is more than attending church on Sunday morning and Christian education. Sharing ourselves, our families, and our beliefs through formal and informal interaction is the ultimate expression of who we are and the way we live. St. John's encourages a variety of fellowship programs to promote positive interaction and to give members the support they need in today's world.

Youth Group

The Church Youth group meets on Sundays for fellowship and service. The group is subdivided by age for grades 5 - 6, 7 - 8, and 9 - 12 to promote a greater sense of community. Check the church calendar for activities and dates.

Wedding Policy

In the Lutheran church, a wedding is not a ceremony; rather, it is a service of worship of the congregation. It will be one of the happiest and holiest moments of your life. In it, you will promise life-long commitment and fidelity to one another, to God, and to His church. As you make this promise, you will receive the promise of God’s continual presence and His abundant blessings, and the prayers and support of the pastors and congregation of St. John’s. All plans for the marriage service should be approached from this point of view.
